Hello,
I setup the Software Catalog role and confirmed that WCF Activation is installed. I get this error on my client: ‘There is a problem connecting with the server. The web site cannot communicate with the server. This may be a temporary problem. Click the Retry action to submit…’
Is there anything else that needs to be setup for the Software Catalog to work? Thanks for any help!
Hi Stephan – I also am having the same problem. I have verified that the WCF Activation feature (HTTP and Non-HTTP) is installed and I have done the iisreset for the site and still no luck. No matter what username I attempt to use I keep receiving the same screen saying There is a problem connecting with the server. Is this possibly a database issue or am I making this more complicated that it is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
did you add the website and webservice role? You can try to remove the HTTP WCF feature, do an iisreset, add the HTTP WCF feature again and do another iisreset. On the client side nothing has to be done.
You can also review the default client settings. To avoid the login screen add the website to the local intranet settings in IE. This should do the trick!
